"Now let's see what we got here."

Dallas looks around the dark room. There was really no need for her to read the sign on the door. By the look of the wires around her and the energy humming in the air, it was the control room of Frostlorn. She steps over the twisted body of a guard and approaches the computers.

She elegantly sits down on one of the stools and looks at the screens, each showing different hallways of the underground science complex. All of them were empty. She gets out her gun and looks at the buttons and signs covered in symbols. She couldn't read them, so the closest thing she could do to hacking was shooting randomly.

"CAFE shield controls," she says loudly, seeing if there was some kind of voice control. Surely enough, a small holographic projection pops up.

"How can I help you?" The computerized voice makes Dallas's ears twich, and she places a hand on the holographic circle.

"Lock CAFE shield," she orders, liking the feel of the warm vibrations under her hand.

"Password needed in order to enact that order."

Dallas's eyes narrow, searching her memory for some sort of password. Then she remembered. "Password override. Voice code. Subject 000-256-F-Dallas." She waits for a few seconds, then grins wihen the blue hologram pulses green.

"CAFE shield unlocked. Have a nice d-"

Before the recording finishes, Dallas shoots the control panel. Sparks fly, illuminating the suddenly-dark room.

"Have a nice day, too," she growls, shoving the gun back into her trenchcoat pocket before turning to the massive wall of switches and wires. "Time to take my claws to these bitches."

-------------------------------------

"Scar, over here!" Reno calls as he, Scar, and Arthur race through the dead forest of Frostlorn. At the sound of his voice, three other citi look up.

"Reno, what are you doing out here?" Angie asks, swiftly changing out of her fox form and crossing her arms,"We were just about to-"

"Never mind that," Arthur says, catching up to Reno,"Dallas told him to-" He stops at an abrupt growl from behind. Scar, in his alternate form, comes out of the shadows.

"Dallas wants you to go back to her apartment with Crystal and Troy," he says, his ears drooping a bit as he said it. As if he knew that order would mean something bad. Reno nods in agreement but Angie doesn't budge. A bald eagle swoops down into the clearing, as if she knew that something bad was happening. In mid air, Crystal morphs back to human form and lightly lands between the three boys and Angie.

"Guys, did you see the shield?" she asks, panting from the long and fast flight,"It's...different." All of the citi look up at the shield that constantly surrounded the base. An eternal and efficient guard. Ususally, even if you listened hard enough, you could hear nothing. Now, there was a droning note in the air. It was constant and almost loud.

"That's...odd," Arthur says slowly, his brilliant mind trying to figure it out.

"Dally locked the shield," Reno whispers almost sadly,"Come on, get back to her apartment. Me, Arthur, and Scar are supposed to stay out here longer, I think. Dimitri and Oliver are out here too." He gives the two girls a grin. "We got ya covered."

Both of them give him an untrusting look, but change and run off in the direction of the more habited part of Frostlorn. A black panther melts from the shadows and follows them soundlessly.

"So, what are we going to do?" Scar asks, shifting back to his human form. Reno shrugs.

"She told me to keep you all in the forest until she gets here," he replies, sitting down on the rotting trunk of a fallen tree. Arthur sits down next to him, followed by Scar on the other side.

"Where are Dimitri and Oliver?" he asks, looking around. Reno shrugs and sits back.

"Don't know. Dally'll find 'em," he says, not acting too worried about any of this. Just like Dallas, he found this whole situation rather amusing.

-----------------------------------------

"Now, for the rest of my plan," Dallas says, chuckling darkly as she walks through the dark halls of the complex. Destroying the control room had plunged Frostlorn into darkness. Nothing except the shield would be operational. She had done a very thourough job.

The short citee sprints to Kai's place, not bothering to knock before entering. The Director was still inspecting Pup, and Kai was holding the small boy, who in turn, sheltered the blind kitten.

"Get up," she orders. The Director looks at her, his eyes narrowed.

"Miss Frost, you're supposed to be-"

Dallas cuts him off with a metallic, rumbling growl. "I said, get up. I have a plan and it involves getting you guys out." She inspects the crew in front of her, who looked more than a bit confused.

"Where are we going? I have to protect these two," Kai says, looking down at Pup clinging to his shirt and still holding Llewellyn.

"You can protect him by doing what I'm telling you to do," Dallas growls, her plan obviously not up for debate,"Director, I will tell you what's going on as soon as you follow me." She turns to leave, expecting them to follow her. However, she jsut feels someone grab her collar and pick her up.

"Miss Frost, we are not going anywhere unless you explain your plan," the Director says, keeping a grip on her collar. Pup sniffs and looks up, still holding the kitten, whose ears were perked. Even Kai watched, just waiting for their boss to get bitten...or worse.

Instead, Dallas just hangs there, her tail and ears drooping. "Fine, then let them die," she says, breaking free of his grip and walking out,"After all, I don't think Pup and Lllewellyn have gotten that anti-radiation shot, and I don't know about Kaiser..." She tosses a grin over her shoulder before walking out.

Kai looks at the cat and boy curled up close to his chest and sighs. "She's not bluffing," he states,"Pup, we're following her." He stands up and the young human scoots off his lap, hugging the blind kitten for dear life.

"I cannot beleive that I'm doing this," the Director sighs before running out of the room,"Dallas!"

Dallas turns around and grins triumphantly. "Ah, decided it's not your day to die, eh?" She chuckles and keeps walking. "Well, sir, you'd best keep up if you want to get out of here." She takes off again, sprinting full speed.

---------------------------------------

   "There she is!"

Dallas and the people following her were greeted by a wide grin from Reno, but straight and unamused faces from Scar, Arthur, Dimitri, and Oliver. They looked tired and bored.

"Let's get out of here," the short citee says, not pausing to say hello. She places both hands on the shield.

"Unlock area of 5 by 7," she orders. Surely enough, the shield around her hums, then turns transparent. She steps through and beckons for the others to follow. They step through and Dallas steps back in. "I will be out in...a few minutes," she says,"Stay here, but spread out around the base. Stay in pairs of two, but no more."

"Why?" Kai asks, looking down at Pup still holding the kitten.

"Yes, why?" the Director agrees,"You still have not told me the plan." Dallas rolls her eyes.

"Reno will explain it to you, asshat," she says,"So stay with him." Reno beams at the scientist, who merely sighs.

"Fine," he mutters, obviously not liking this one bit. He ponders why he had followed his won subject in the first place, then curses himself for doing it. Wanting to know what was going on in his base seemed to lead him to some rather unwelcome situations. And lots of them had to do with Dallas.

"Now, go," the short citee commands, running a bit further into Frostlorn.

"Operation kill the idiots is a go," she whispers to herself, taking a deep breath, then exhaling. A familiar cold, clammy feeling works its way up her throat, over her tounge, and out into the air.

The nuclear meltdown had begun, and no one in the base knew how to stop it.

They were all outside, and couldn't get in.

It was at that moment that Dallas felt brilliant.

   True to the stars, brilliant.

Because instead of writing the whole thing at once, a bring you Dallas's plan in small pieces! :la:
Let's jsut say that it has to do with.....killing some citi, manpulating her best friends, and sweet-talking. That's all you'll get to know, and it might change as I find out what Seth's doing :I
In fact, yeah, it might change a lot.
And the Director won't like it, I don't think
